Core an Apple- Fast

I learned this trick while making apple pie. it was taking far to long to cut the apples, then it occurred to me (mostly because I was lazy earlier in the day and left my melon baller on the counter) I could use that to take out to apple core! and it worked like a charm!

Re-Use & Recycle in Style!

I have been wanting to re-do my pantry to make it pretty like all the GORGEOUS ones I see on Pinterest, but honestly I don't have the money. So I have been saving my jars and their lids for a while now. I have about 6 complete small jars, and 6 complete big jars, and the best part? Their lids are the small color! Score!

Antique Chair

Before:

After:

this project cost me a whopping $0!

The chair I got for free at a Garage Sale that my sister and I had. She found it in her backyard and told me I could have it. (Which I really, really wanted!) She put a "free" sticker on it at the sale (which I didn't know about!) But to my luck it was still there when we were done!  Thank goodness!

I looked for a while for the right fabric but couldn't find anything until I went to a swap with my sister and found a white lace table cloth. It was perfect! I used yellow fabric I already had to go under it and replaced the batting and gave it a new paint job! I love it! I had it in my house for about a week before I decided to sell it. I only made $5 but it sold within 2 days it was just a fun little project to keep me busy.

Necklace

This is actually a double feature. My very good friend gave me this necklace when I was helping her back-up her home. (She used to live 4 doors down.. but now likes 45 minutes away. ;( tear*) Anyways.. Bou was playing with this necklace and she said we could ahve it because she was planning on giving it away anyways.
So basically it's a score! My hubby's brother is getting married next week and her colors are green, white and black so this necklace is perfect! It just needed a little more glam. So with some green nail polish it went from this:

To This!

don't you just love it! I sure do! Thanks for the necklace Elise!

This is the second feature, I made this jewelry holder from some cupboard doors that we're on a dresser that was my grandmother. (That dresser is still in our room, it is just a vanity now!) I love it! Can you tell that I love pearls also?

Its a Girl! & 2 Boys!

My Cousin is having triplets! As soon as I found out I got started making her babies some booties and on Saturday my mom threw her a shower.

The buckets are baby formula cans with paper mod-poded on. I LOVE how they turned out!

Shell Wreath

My sister Jenny found 2 wicker wreaths at a Garage Sale for 25 cents and wanted to make a wreath out of them. Our Grandma had given her some shells and we both made one! I love the way mine turned out, Jenny is so sweet to always share her crafts with me! Her wreath is similar but with much bigger shells. If only I had a picture of hers too! I love them1

Like New

I got this swing for my birthday a few years ago and have already made a new cover for it once. I won't even tell you how much that one cost, because it is just too embarrassing, I can't even believe I spent that much.

But as you can tell the paint is fading and not looking so good.  It was time to update it. So I used some left-over paint from a fench that me and Logan did. Bought some sheets from Goodwill and ..

Ta-Da! Isn't she b-e-a-utiful!? I love her! She is so bright and spring-y. I got two different sheets and together I spent about $3.

Totally worth it! My swing looks brand-new! And I love it!

I made my baby this dress out of an old Bedskirt from Pottery barn. It cost me about $1. Isn't it the cutest thing you have ever seen?!

Button Bouquet

This may be my all time favorite craft. I ADORE my button bouquet. The only thing I purchased was the wire to hold the buttons together, which was $2.50 for 3 yards at Michael's.. then I found the exact same stuff after I already purchased it for $2.00 for 6 yards at Wal-mart! Dang, what was I thinking!

My sister gave me all the old buttons because she already had like a million. Ahhh don't you just adore it!? (PS. don't you love my clock wall?! I will post about that later)

Peek-A-Boo

was: $8 Goodwill Table.

now: Baby's tea set table.

I found this small table at Goodwill for $10, and of course I had a coupon so it was only $8. Who even knows what this was used for, its to short to be an end table, side table, coffee table or nightstand. No idea. But I love it! Its just right for Baby. I actually really loved the color that it was, but it didn't match Baby's room and the stain was heavy and pealing, so it had to go. I sanded it down to the wood, and I am really glad that I did, because it had 3 different coats of stain! This thing is solid wood and very heavy. Isn't she just a beauty!? Baby that is!

Baby Shoes

I made these blue ones first and I really love the way they turned out.

But my second pair I like even better! The yarn was a little thiner and I think it looks way better! Now only if I had a little baby to put them on..

Pin Cushion

I actually saw this on another blog and just knew I had to make it.
You can find it here.
I choose to use a small frame (99 cents) and an old outdated pillow (99 cents!)

Spray painted him white and cut out a part of the flowers and used the insides from the pillow.

and ta-da! I LOVE it!!

Lamp Shade

I might just be my most favorite thing in my whole home. I love this lamp. The lamp was given to me by my husbands Grandmother (his Grandfather has a matching one! How special!) All the fabric was scrap fabric from my sister. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I re-painted all the brass parts, silver and gave it a good cleaning. What did it cost me? Not a thing!

High Chair Seat Cover

I found this Highchair at Goodwill and it was marked 29.99 except that the 9 was smeared so it was hard to tell what it said. I asked a worker and they said it was 29. I thought that, that was too much to spend (even though it was an Eddie Beauer one from Target that retails for around $200) I had also been looking for a wooden one for a while but passed it up because it had Dog bites all over the bottom and was $30. I came home and told the Mr. about it, the good man that he is encouraged me to go back and buy it. This time a different worker told me that it was $25 (score!) plus I had a 20% off so I only paid $20 for it. Whoo Hoo!!! I made a new cover for it, that only cost $2.00, sanded and stained the whole thing. I love it!

Hair Bow's

I did not made all of these, but I did make a good portion of them. I did not spend any money on any of the bows (the ones that I made) they were all from scrap fabric. The rest that I did not made were either trades or gifts. I love them all! The frame I got from Goodwill for $5, it had a picture of a baby tiger.. random! But easily re-purposed!
